Introducing our new manager at Dragon Bowl, Chad Anderson.
We go way back with Chad to 2005, when he managed one of our ol’ Doc Chey’s locations.
Here’s a quick Q&A to help you get to know Chad better…
You look familiar. Where do we know you from?
Before Dragon Bowl, I was with Front Page News for 9 years and Fado Irish Pubs for 5 years before that, with a two-year stint at Doc Chey’s.
Tell us more about your background.
I have over 20 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, with careers ranging from Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, GM and Director of Culinary Operations. I attended Clark College Culinary School in Vancouver from 95-96. While I’m from Seattle, I’ve lived all over with stays in Vancouver, Portland, Las Vegas, Denver, Philadelphia, and Barcelona. I’ve called Atlanta home for the past 15 years.
Any hobbies or special interests?
In my off time, I enjoy mountain bike riding and reading, but not at the same time. I’m a big Seattle Seahawks fan and have a Star Wars themed Man cave.
We hear you’re a bit of a carnie. Tell us about your secret talents.
I’ve been working on doing some things that are fun but not so useful. I’m a master at the Pogo stick, and I’m currently honing my knife throwing and unicycle skills.
What new things do you plan to bring to Dragon Bowl?
I want to help people discover that there are yummy, healthier and better-tasting alternatives to coffee and sugar-packed soda than just water. Ask me about the healthy secret behind our new hand-crafted lemonade. Look for fresh fruit-infused Agua Frescas to hit the menu in the near future.
The next time you visit, be sure to say hi to Chad and welcome him to the family. While you’re at it, feel free to bring your Pogo-stick and challenge him to duel.
